Anthony is the Founder and Owner of Anthony Herron CPA PLLC. Based in Midwest City, Oklahoma he has over 18 years of experience in business to include accounting and auditing profession including internal audit, external audit and executive/operations management. During his career, Anthony has led audit projects in a wide variety of areas including energy, retail/consumer products, university, governmental and non-profit, healthcare. 

His experience includes the management of internal audit and consulting engagements. 

Anthony’s broad internal audit experience engagements have included risk assessment, audit plan development and execution, and ultimately the reporting and communication of results to Senior Executives/Management. Anthony also has significant experience in leading HIPPA compliance reviews for healthcare operations, as well as documenting business processes, assessing related internal controls and working with clients to implement practical business process improvements.

Anthony has provided income tax preparation and payroll tax services for clients since 2009 as a sole proprietor prior to organizing Anthony Herron, Jr. CPA PLLC. Anthony was the first Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Executive Director of Operations for the Metropolitan Library System of Oklahoma County. He has executive level operations oversight of business support departments to include strategic planning and projects, information technology, marketing and communications, security, capital projects, and facilities maintenance and fleet operations. Anthony served as Audit Director, Audit Manager, and Audit Staff for the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center where he was responsible for the performance of financial, compliance, operational audits of over 100 academic departments, clinical services, and business units. These responsibilities included working with University leadership and staff to improve their operating efficiency and ensure the proper use of public funds through sound internal control structures and compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

Anthony serves as the Co-Founder and Senior Pastor of Remnant Church a Christian nondenominational church in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Anthony has volunteered with the United Way of Central Oklahoma and the Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma. Anthony is past board member at United Way of Central Oklahoma and Camp Dakani/Campfire of Oklahoma. 

Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Oral Roberts University. Anthony Holds Master’s degrees from The University of Oklahoma and Southwester Assemblies of God University. He completed a Doctor of Ministry in Ministry Leadership at Liberty University with High Distinction Honors. He is a Certified Public Accountant and past member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors.
